Gregory Kersten
On May 26th, 2020 we suddenly and unexpectedly lost Gregory (Grzegorz) Kersten.
Husband, father, brother, grandfather, professor at Concordia University, Editor in Chief of the Group Decision and Negotiation Journal, and former President of the Group Decision and Negotiation (GDN) Section of INFORMS. Gregory was loved for his humanity and generosity, and admired for his integrity. He was just. He believed that people from all cultures and backgrounds can come to understanding through negotiation.
He will be missed dearly by his family and the people whose lives he touched, those he helped, and those he inspired. There are many.
In 2011, he founded the “Fundacja Kerstenów” (The Kersten Foundation) to continue the legacy of his parents, Adam and Krystyna. In lieu of flowers, you may consider donating to help fund a scholarship that we are creating in his name under the Kersten Foundation. We will do everything we can to live up to his principles and continue his legacy.
